    Competition recognizes the best of nationwide chain’s 900+ locations

    PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis.—Nov. 30, 2023—Culver’s delights guests with ButterBurgers, Fresh Frozen Custard, and Wisconsin Cheese Curds at over 900 restaurants nationwide—and the location in St. Augustine, Florida, is being recognized as one of the chain’s top five. The St. Augustine Culver’s has been named a Gold Finalist in the annual Culver’s Crew Challenge, which will crown a winner in January 2024.

    Garth & Lisa Darton are the owner-operators of the St. Augustine Culver’s, which opened in January of 2021. In its nearly three years of service, Garth and his team have established a strong culture of service excellence and guest satisfaction, leading to the restaurant’s first-ever Crew Challenge Finals honor.

    “We’re so proud of the incredible team members that work so hard to make our guests happy every day in St. Augustine,” said Lisa. “It’s rewarding to see their efforts acknowledged and to know that our guests are receiving the service and experience they deserve every time they visit Culver’s.”

    In the Crew Challenge, restaurants compete in the areas of quality, service, cleanliness, hospitality, community outreach, and team member training and development. The winner will be announced at Culver’s annual convention in Orlando in January.

    Each of the five finalists will receive prize money, with $50,000 going to the national champion and $12,500 to each of the four runner-up restaurants. Winnings are shared between the restaurant managers and team members.
