    Chamber announces director of marketing & communications

    Elizabeth Middlebrooks joined the staff of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce as the director of marketing and communications. This position will oversee marketing and communication efforts of the chamber.

    Middlebrooks brings a wealth of nonprofit marketing, communications and programming experience, as well as nearly a decade of journalism experience. She has been self-employed the last two years, providing marketing and communication services to a number of clients, including nonprofit organizations, real estate professionals and a digital health startup. The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce also engaged her to develop the branding and collateral for the Attainable Housing Coalition in fall 2023. Prior to that, Middlebrooks worked as the marketing manager for First Coast No More Homeless Pets and as the senior manager of marketing and communication at Girl Scouts of Gateway Council.

    An East Tennessee native, she received her bachelor's degree in English and history from Vanderbilt University in 2008. She will be responsible for strategies for member communications, public relations, brand management, sales and advertising.
