North Florida Traffic Safety Survey - Looks for Input on Reducing Traffic Fatalities
    Participate at www.TrafficSafetySurvey.com

The North Florida TPO is updating the North Florida Regional Strategic Safety Plan to align strategies and prioritize safety investments within the region to ensure that resources are dedicated to reducing fatalities.  As part of this effort, the TPO encourages all citizens to take the survey at www.TrafficSafetySurvey.com.  Participants who include contact information at the end of the survey will be entered to win one of three $100 Visa gift cards. The survey period closes Friday, June 28.

Over 230 people died due to traffic crashes across the four-county region in 2017, nearly twice the number of people murdered.  “Fatal traffic crashes are a major public health issue,” according to Jeff Sheffield, North Florida TPO Executive Director.  “People have become desensitized by using the term accident, which implies that these crashes are not preventable but they are.”
