“February 1st is the launch date set for St. Augustine Country 106.3 FM,” said Flagler Broadcasting VP & General Manager David Ayres. The people of St. Augustine have been asking for their own local country music station for years and now it’s here.
The 106.3 studios are co-located with Beach 105.5 in the St. Augustine Record building and owned by Flagler Broadcasting LLC.
“We’re not afraid to mix in the older country classics from the 80’s & 90’s,” said 106.3 program director John “JT” Merriam. The Jacksonville country radio stations compete for people to listen for 15 minutes at a time. Country 106.3 is a fun, leave it on all day and let it play radio station.
St. Augustine local news, traffic & weather will also be part of the audio recipe with easy access for local charities to promote local events and fundraisers.
“The Jacksonville stations do a fine job with Jacksonville, we just care about our home town because St. Augustine is where we live.”
Listeners love winning free prizes and concert tickets and St. Augustine Country 106.3 will not disappoint.
The Flagler Broadcasting family of local radio stations has grown with 4 in Flagler County and now 2 in St. Augustine. Beach 105.5 & Country 106.3
