• 2022-2023 Board of Directors Nomination Instructions & Form

    Nominations are now open for three at-large seats on the St. Johns County Chamber Board of Directors. Any active member in good standing* can nominate any other active member in good standing, including themselves. Please scroll down to submit a nomination.

    THE COMMITMENT
    Chamber Board positions are three-year (3) terms that correspond to the Chamber's fiscal year, which begins annually October 1. The Nominating Committee will review all nominations and recommend a slate to be considered by the Board of Directors and Board of Advisors.

    Board meetings are held in-person, on the 4th Wednesday monthly, starting in August, and board members must agree to the attendance policy per the bylaws.

    SKILLS & INDUSTRY NEEDED
    The St. Johns County Chamber Board is a skills-based governing board. The following skill sets have been identified as being a need for the Board of Directors for 2022-2023:

    FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & MANAGEMENT: This future board member will understand financial reporting and accounting to provide guidance to Chamber board leadership.

    FOUNDATION STARTUP: This future board member will have experience in launching and running a successful 501(c)(3) foundation to support the Chamber's efforts.

    BRANDING & MARKETING: This future board member will have experience in business branding and marketing to provide guidance with continued progress on the Chamber's strategic communications plan.

    FUNDRAISING: This future board member will have experience in overseeing fundraising for large-scale projects/initiatives.

    STRATEGIC THINKING: This future board member will demonstrate skills including abilities in planning, strategizing, communication, and maximizing partnerships.

    In addition to the above mentioned skill sets, we would like to encourage members in the following industry to consider submitting a nomination to the board:

    TOURISM & HOSPITALITY

    Please note that you may nominate someone whose area of expertise is outside of these areas of focus as well.
