DESCRIPTION:The mission of the Women with Vision Council is to mentor\, inspire and empower women in professional environment through education and collaboration to embrace their own vision\, purpose and value. We want to inspire women to live the lives they love\, igniting their passion for business and to make a positive contribution in their community.\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Amy Pope Wells\n\nTopic: COURAGE!\n\n\n\nAmy Pope-Wells is an entrepreneur\, professional speaker\, and community leader. Amy grew up in a small suburb community outside of Charlotte\, North Carolina where her parents taught her the importance of hard work\, faith\, family\, and public service. Amy earned a Nursing Degree from ACC School of Nursing in North Carolina and practiced as a critical care nurse for almost 10 years before transitioning into medical staffing where she traveled across the country assessing the needs of hospitals and creating staffing strategies within the nursing and allied professional departments.\n\nIn 2007\, Amy and her husband started Link Staffing which focuses on providing temporary\, contract\, and full-time placement within the staffing industry and has since launched and been involved with multiple other business interests most recently her new venture is PayDay HR & Insurance Solutions. She has remained relentless in her desire to be a positive influence in the lives of her customers and employees and ensures that her expectations for superior customer service is delivered.\n\nAmy is passionate about empowering women in business and frequently speaks to audiences on a variety of topics as well as insuring that the concerns of women\, communities\, and small businesses are heard at all levels of government.\n\nDespite the large demands of her time from her business interests\, Amy has insured that she played an active role in her community through involvements with multiple organizations. She has been recognized as an influential leader in her local community as well as at the state and national level. Amy was invited to the White House Office Presidential Council where she serves on committees related to women's advancement\, small business\, and workforce development. In addition she was appointed as a board member of the Clay County Development Authority by Governor Rick Scott. She also is a board member for SBDC Florida as well as the Chairman of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce. Amy is involved with the JAX Chamber as a leadership mentor in the entrepreneurial division and a member of the Clay County Charter Review Commission Board. Amy was recognized as "2014 Women to Watch" and received "Small Business Person of the Year" award by the Clay County Chamber of Commerce in 2016 and already in 2018 has received 2 awards for Community Impact & Advisory.\n\nAmy is known for being energetic\, passionate\, and empowering. She is committed to being a positive influence for women in business and helping them realize their true potential.
