PVB Division Chamber Luncheon: Focus on Veterans 11.9.23
Veterans are 45% more likely to start their own businesses than the general public, according to the Small Business Administration. This is because veterans develop the ability to make good decisions during chaotic times and have a high degree of self-confidence and independence. A study done by the Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families says that's not all: military backgrounds can make veterans uniquely suited to entrepreneurship due to the “Grit Factor.”
Lt. Scott Mackes, retired United States Navy, proves that. He has dedicated his career to supporting the success of fellow military veteran entrepreneurs through his work at 10X Vets, Service Academy Business Mastermind (SABM) Group, and the Academy Fund. Scott and his team have attracted more than 550 investor group members, 100+ members of the 10X Vets program, and $20MM+ invested in military veteran entrepreneurs. SABM Group was recently mentioned on Forbes.com as one of the most innovative mastermind groups.
At the PVB Division Chamber Luncheon, Focus on Veterans, you'll hear from Lt. Mackes and just how his "Grit Factor" helped him succeed after he swapped his military uniform for a suit and tie.
