Event to be broadcast live from Chamber's St. Augustine Office
Two of Florida's leading political journalists will speak at the quarterly Economic Development Council event hosted by the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce from 8:00-9:30 a.m. on December 4, 2020. Using their unique insights, Peter Schorsch of Florida Politics and Matt Dixon of Politico will provide a legislative preview for the 2021 session.
Schorsch and Dixon are replacing the previously scheduled EDC Quarterly Breakfast speaker, Senator Travis Hutson, who is unable to attend.

Peter Schorsch is the President of Extensive Enterprises and is the publisher of some of Florida's most influential new media websites, including Florida Politics and Sunburn, the morning read of what's hot in Florida politics. Schorsch is also the publisher of INFLUENCE Magazine. For several years, Peter's blog was ranked by the Washington Post as the best state-based blog in Florida. In addition to his publishing efforts, Peter is a political consultant to several of the state's largest governmental affairs and public relations firms. Peter lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Ella.
Matt Dixon, Politico
Matt Dixon is POLITICO's Florida bureau chief, a job he has held for more than five years. He has covered Florida politics and policy since moving to Tallahassee in 2010. Prior to that, he covered local government for The Villages Daily Sun and Panama City News Herald. He is a Wisconsin native and graduate of Marquette University.
The mission of the Economic Development Council is to promote St. Johns County as an ideal business location and to encourage businesses, both large and small, to expand and relocate within St. Johns County. EDC activities and events are designed to support the success of both new and existing businesses in St. Johns County. We offer resources to businesses and support start-up ventures by providing information and connectivity to a variety of local resources.
